Chabad at La Costa was founded in the summer of '89 by a handful of families who wanted a Jewish Center to serve the North County Coastal Region of San Diego. Since then we have grown to THREE Jewish Centers, because of our warmth and caring attitude.
Whether one experiences a Shabbat or a holiday party, Chabad at La Costa and Coastal Chabads is THE place for EVERY Jew!
We believe in providing Jewish North County with religious services on an ongoing basis.
We believe in opening our doors to every Jew regardless of background, affiliation, level of observance, or level of commitment.

What they offer
Chabad at La Costa is a Chabad house in Carlsbad, led by Rabbi Yeruchem Eilfort.
There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. Kosher meals are available on a meal plan. Accommodation for guests can be arranged. They kosher kitchens for the community.
Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged, courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught and public lectures are held. There is a library.
For children there is a preschool, a Hebrew school, after-school programmes, a children's club and a mother-and-child group.
Older children and young adults have a teen club and bar and bat mitzvah instruction.
They officiate at weddings and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage. A chevra kadisha serves the community.
The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, looks after the elderly and distributes food packages.
There is a women's group. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here.
