Chabad Camarillo provides synagogue services, spiritual guidance, community outreach and education to inspire all Jews to discover their common bond of Jewish faith and observance. We do this according to the Chabad Lubavitch philosophy of Ahavat Yisrael with unconditional love and concern for every Jew, regardless of religious background or affiliation.

Chabad Camarillo's numerous programs and activities provide the education and means to promote Jewish knowledge, awareness and practice to experience our Jewish heritage connecting us to our past, present and future.

Chabad Camarillo encourages positive action on the part of each Jew and offers its educational programs to all Jewish organizations, synagogues and groups in its efforts to increase Jewish knowledge and observance.

What they offer

Chabad of Camarillo is a Chabad house in Camarillo, led by Rabbi Aryeh Lang.

There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. There is a Judaica shop. They kosher kitchens for the community.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged, courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught and public lectures are held. There is a library.

For children there is a preschool, a Hebrew school, after-school programmes, a children's club and a mother-and-child group.

Older children and young adults have bar and bat mitzvah instruction, a bar mitzvah club and a bat mitzvah club.

They officiate at weddings, circumcisions and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage. A chevra kadisha serves the community.

The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, looks after the elderly, distributes food packages and provides humanitarian aid.

There is a women's group. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here. The building is wheelchair accessible.
