Chabad's underlying doctrine is "Ahavat Yisrael" (love for a fellow Jew). Chabad recognizes no differences between Jews; its goal is to serve the spiritual and physical needs of each Jew regardless of affiliation, wherever he or she may be, with understanding and with love.
Chabad of Nun's Island is a branch of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement, comprising of over 3,000 institutions worldwide. Chabad has been active in the wider Montreal Jewish community for over fifty years. Chabad house in Nun's Island was established in 2010.
Chabad serves the Jewish community with adult education, social and humanitarian outreach programs and a vibrant youth programs including holiday, camps, and numerous other activities.
Schedule
- Shabbat Morning Parsha class at 8:15 am followed by Davening at 9am with a Shabbos Kidush lunch

Chabad of Nuns Island is a Chabad house in Verdun, led by Rabbi Levi Itkin.
Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals.
Classes run regularly and one-to-one study can be arranged.
Older children and young adults have bar and bat mitzvah instruction.
They officiate at funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage. A chevra kadisha serves the community.
The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners and looks after the elderly.
There is a women's group. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here. The building is wheelchair accessible.
