The Peltz Center for Jewish Life The Peltz Center For Jewish Life, an affiliate of Lubavitch of Wisconsin, serves as a Jewish educational and spiritual lighthouse for the hundreds of Jewish families in the Mequon area, offering many educational, religious and social opportunities for all age groups within the community. The Avrohom and Chaya Sara Pelz Hebrew School is an innovative afternoon school with one goal: to provide Jewish children with a broad knowledge of Judaism in a stimulating, creative, and challenging environment.

Located at our beautiful new facility, our Hebrew School building houses classrooms, a library, and a spacious playground - all of which provide the proper atmosphere for learning and fun.

The Hebrew School welcomes families from all walks of life. Every member of the School staff wants your child to feel comfortable with our style and approach regardless of religious background or level of observance.

What they offer

The Peltz Center for Jewish Life is a Jewish community centre in Mequon, led by Rabbi Dovid Rapoport.

There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. There is a Judaica shop. They kosher kitchens for the community. There is a mikveh for men.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged, courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught and public lectures are held. There is a library.

For children there is a preschool, a Hebrew school, after-school programmes, a children's club and a mother-and-child group.

Older children and young adults have a teen club, bar and bat mitzvah instruction and a bat mitzvah club.

They officiate at weddings and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage. A chevra kadisha serves the community.

The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, looks after the elderly and runs a free loan fund.

There is a women's group. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here.
