Congregation Shaarei Tefilah-Lubavitch is a Jewish, close-knit, yet open Seattle Jewish Hub and community dedicated to reaching out to Jews from all backgrounds in Seattle

Rabbi Sholom Ber Levitin serves as the Rabbi Emeritus of Congregation Shaarei Tefillah Lubavitch. He was ordained at the Central Chabad Lubavitch Rabbinical Seminary Yeshiva in Brooklyn, New York in 1970. His articles have appeared in newspapers and magazines throughout the course of his rabbinical career. He is the Regional Director of Chabad-Lubavitch of the Pacific Northwest for over 45 years.

What they offer

Chabad North East Seattle is a Chabad house in Seattle, led by Rabbi Yossi Rodal.

There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. They kosher kitchens for the community. A mikveh is available. Dishes can be toveled here.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged, courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught and public lectures are held. There is a library.

For children there is after-school programmes, a children's club and a mother-and-child group.

Older children and young adults have a teen club, bar and bat mitzvah instruction, a bar mitzvah club and a bat mitzvah club.

They officiate at weddings, circumcisions and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage. A chevra kadisha serves the community.

The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, looks after the elderly and provides humanitarian aid.
