Chabad-Lubavitch of Doylestown

Chabad is a Jewish movement with a bold vision and a simple philosophy. The vision is to bring Judaism to every single Jew on earth, no matter where they dwell. The philosophy is to be inclusive of all Jews, regardless of their background. With over 4,000 emissaries around the globe, Chabad is the largest Jewish outreach organization in the world today.

Lubavitch of Doylestown serves the Central Bucks community with social, educational, recreational and religious programming. We give you the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of your Jewish heritage. Most importantly, Chabad is a place where being Jewish is fun. Rabbi Mendel Prus was raised in Boston, MA, where he was imbued with a sense of mission to share his love of Judaism. His parents were sent as emissaries by the Lubavitcher Rebbe to establish the first Chabad center of Greater Boston. Rabbi Prus studied in Yeshiva in New York, Toronto, and five years in Israel. He has volunteered to travel to teach and guide families in remote Jewish enclaves among them: Nigeria, Belarus, the Dutch ABC Islands, Suriname, Sweden, Denmark, and Nova Scotia. He completed his studies in the Central Lubavitch Yeshiva in NY and was ordained as Rabbi in 2001. Rabbi Prus is the director of Chabad of Doylestown. He loves to hang out and discuss Jewish topics and issues with an emphasis on spirituality and Chassidic mysticism.

Dassie Prus was raised in Brooklyn, NY. Dassie is the co-director of Chabad of Doylestown, as well as the Director of Chabad Hebrew School. She loves spending time with her seven children. She is a children's book author as well the publisher of Jewish Big Books. Her books beautifully explain the story behind the Jewish holidays and are used worldwide to educate Jewish children (and their parents).
