Chabad of Great Neck is dedicated to heightening Jewish awareness and promoting communal involvement.

We believe in the right of every Jew to experience the beautiful treasures of our heritage, therefore our programming are open to all Jews, regardless of affiliation, social status of religious background.

We provide a wide range of educational, social and religious programming, with the aim of bringing more meaning into our lives and making our world a better place.

The Mission of Chabad of Great Neck is to improve the world through education, action, and loving kindness; to help realize a moral, G‑dly world in which honesty, integrity, a sense of meaning and purpose, respect, responsibility for one another, knowledge, security, and peace prevail.

What they offer

Chabad of Great Neck is a Chabad house in Great Neck, led by Rabbi Yoseph Y. Geisinsky.

There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. They kosher kitchens for the community. There is a mikveh for men.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged, courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught and public lectures are held. There is a library.

For children there is a Hebrew school, after-school programmes, a children's club and a mother-and-child group.

Older children and young adults have a teen club, bar and bat mitzvah instruction, a bar mitzvah club and a bat mitzvah club.

They officiate at weddings, circumcisions and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage. A chevra kadisha serves the community.

The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, serves military personnel, looks after the elderly, works with children with special needs, distributes food packages, provides humanitarian aid and runs a free loan fund.

There is a women's group. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here. A mitzvah tank goes out from here.
