Our Chabad center is an affiliate of the worldwide Chabad Lubavitch movement. The movement has established over 4,000 centers across the globe inspired by the leadership and guidance of the ‘Rebbe’, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of blessed memory.
Chabad is dedicated to strengthening Jewish identity in a nurturing and non-judgmental environment. Its endeavor is to share the beauty of authentic Jewish values and make them relevant and meaningful in the modern world.
The Chabad center in Sussex County, NJ was established in 2002. The center offers a full array of Jewish programming and services for all ages, regardless of background or affiliation.
Our community consists of Jews – and non-Jews - from a wide range of backgrounds and levels of observance. Chabad is also the active Jewish presence in many local government and community institutions.

What they offer
Chabad of Sussex County is a synagogue in Sparta, led by Rabbi Mendel Dubov.
There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. They kosher kitchens for the community.
Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged and public lectures are held.
For children there is a mother-and-child group.
Older children and young adults have a teen club and bar and bat mitzvah instruction.
They officiate at weddings, circumcisions and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage. A chevra kadisha serves the community.
The center visits patients in hospital, looks after the elderly, distributes food packages and provides humanitarian aid.
There is a women's group. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here.
