Chabad of Southern Nevada is a major outpost of the worldwide Chabad-Lubavitch organization which promotes Jewish education and outreach all across the globe. Established in 1990 in Rabbi Shea & Dina Harlig’s living room, Chabad of Southern Nevada has since emerged as a dynamic force for Jewish life – with nine thriving centers and 20 Rabbis and Rebbetzins spanning the greater Las Vegas Valley.

Our philosophy remains surprisingly simple: Love every Jew, Accept every Jew, Educate every Jew, Reach out to help every Jew…unconditionally. We open our hearts, our center and all our amazing and unique programs to all, regardless of education and background.

A warm, welcoming, family-friendly place to pray daily, celebrate Shabbat and your special occasions. The atmosphere is warm, the people are friendly and everyone feels at home.

One of the core missions of Chabad is to educate and facilitate our fellow Jews in their journey through our rich heritage.

What they offer

Chabad of Southern Nevada is a Chabad house in Las Vegas, led by Rabbi Shea Harlig.

There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. Accommodation for guests can be arranged. There is a Judaica shop. They kosher kitchens for the community. A mikveh is available.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged, courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught and public lectures are held. There is a library.

For children there is a preschool, a Hebrew school, after-school programmes and a children's club.

Older children and young adults have a teen club, bar and bat mitzvah instruction and a bat mitzvah club.

They officiate at weddings, circumcisions and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage. A chevra kadisha serves the community.

The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners and looks after the elderly.

There is a women's group. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here. The building is wheelchair accessible.
