chabadinthed.orgA Jewish home for people that Live, Work & Volunteer in the city of Detroit. Through our programs we contribute to participate to young people in city life.
“The most important thing two people should do when they meet -- is to help a third person”.
At ChabaD we are obsessed with reaching people and building community together. We find the second person and together we reach out to the third. Together we find opportunities to build community in Detroit and beyond.
At ChabaD our door is always open for you to have a meaningful Jewish experience, whether it’s your first time or your thousandth.
Rabbi Yisrael and Devorah Pinson come from Chabad Lubavitch families going back to the 18th century. Since 1942, their families have operated Chabad institutions in New York, Morocco, Tunisia, France, Ohio, and now Detroit. For the Pinsons, ChabaD is not a job, it is a legacy. It is a natural extension of their own family. Their children Chaya Mushka, Menachem Mendel, Shmuel, Shayna, Aryeh Leyb, and Heshel are involved from a young age just as their mother and father were with their families.
