Chabad of Northampton is your hub for Jewish life in the Upper Pioneer Valley serving the community as well as students at Hampshire, Amherst, Smith, and Mount Holyoke Colleges.
Chabad is an international organization, with over five thousand community centers and two hundred campus centers world-wide. Chabad Nation caters to the students of the Pioneer Valley by providing Shabbat dinners, classes, mezuzahs for dorm rooms, events, holiday services, and a chicken soup delivery service for sick students.
The Kravitskys are recognized chaplains on the campuses and work in conjunction with each college's spiritual life office.
We welcome everyone! The Chabad House is a safe environment where you can ask questions without feeling censored or judged. We also offer counseling to students who need guidance or just need someone to talk to.
No prior knowledge about Judaism is required to attend any classes or holiday events.

Chabad-Lubavitch of Northampton is a Chabad house in Northampton, led by Rabbi Shmuel Kravitsky.
There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. They kosher kitchens for the community.
Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged and public lectures are held.
Older children and young adults have a teen club and bar and bat mitzvah instruction.
They officiate at funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage.
The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, looks after the elderly and distributes food packages.
