Chabad House in Beverly, Massachusetts, led by Rabbi Menachem Barber.

He traveled around the world, including Belgium, Hawaii, Jamaica, Peru, Poland and St. Martins to spread the light of Judaism and give Torah classes. Mendel was the principal at the Educational Institute Oholei Torah, the largest Chabad Boys School based in Brooklyn, NY, from 2020-2022.

Mendel loves engaging with others in conversation, giving classes, mentoring, providing guidance, and appreciates connecting with people.

Fraidy grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, part of a large open home involved in Jewish outreach. Fraidy graduated high school in 2014 and attended Bais Chana Tzfat in Israel in 2015. Fraidy worked in summer camps in Bradenton Florida, Chernigov Ukraine, Plano Texas, Tuscany Italy. Fraidy has been working for Chabad on Campus International since 2017 as the Manager of Strategic Grants and as such has a wealth of experience. Fraidy is motivated and passionate to join the Chabad team at Beverly and Salem, MA.

At Chabad of Beverly-Salem we believe that the best way to stem the tide of indifference, alienation, and assimilation in the Jewish community is to provide opportunities for Jews to experience the joys and relevance of being Jewish.

What they offer

Chabad of Beverly-Salem is a Chabad house in Beverly, led by Rabbi Menachem Barber.

There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. They kosher kitchens for the community. A mikveh is available.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged and public lectures are held.

For children there is a preschool and a mother-and-child group.

Older children and young adults have a teen club, a bar mitzvah club and a bat mitzvah club.

They officiate at weddings and funerals. A chevra kadisha serves the community.

The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, looks after the elderly and provides humanitarian aid.
