Founded by Rabbi Alex and Chana Colin in 2023 as an initiative of Chabad of Towson, an affiliate of Chabad Lubavitch of Maryland, YJP Towson brings Jewish young adults from diverse backgrounds together to connect with one another and explore their heritage through weekly Shabbat dinners, holiday parties, social events, classes and more.

From Rosh Hashanah to Chanukkah and Purim, YJP Towson has you covered for all of your Jewish holiday needs.
YJP Towson offers weekly classes on a variety of topics, including the weekly Torah portion, Jewish mysticism and philosophy, as well as a monthly Rosh Chodesh Circle for women.

What they offer
Young Jewish Professionals Towson is a young professionals' centre in Towson, led by Rabbi Alex Colin.
Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. They kosher kitchens for the community.
Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged and public lectures are held.
Older children and young adults have a young professionals' circle.
They officiate at weddings, circumcisions and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage. A chevra kadisha serves the community.
The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, serves military personnel and looks after the elderly.
