Chabad at IU is a vibrant Jewish student organization at Indiana University. Conveying the love and spirit of Judaism to the students at IU, we assist growth and learning through exciting programs and warm environment. The Chabad House brings new and innovative programs through stimulating Jewish classes, delicious home-cooked meals, Friday night and Shabbat services, barbecues, leadership opportunities and so much more! With our "doors" open 24/7, students feel comfortable to reach out at any time to enjoy delicious free food, individual study sessions, Shabbat meals, or to just hang out with friends. We look forward to welcoming you to our Chabad House, your new home away from home!

What they offer

Chabad House of Bloomington is a Chabad house in Bloomington, led by Rabbi Yehoshua Chincholker.

There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. They kosher kitchens for the community. A mikveh is available.

Classes run regularly and one-to-one study can be arranged. There is a library.

Older children and young adults have a teen club and bar and bat mitzvah instruction.

They officiate at weddings and funerals. A chevra kadisha serves the community.

The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, looks after the elderly and provides humanitarian aid.

There is a women's group. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here.
