Chabad Hebrew School is a warm and friendly space where kids learn, discover and explore Judaism in a hands-on, fun and engaging way. Our goal is for children to experience Judaism in a way that is relevant and joyful, and develop a strong sense of Jewish identity and pride. Curiosity is encouraged and each child is celebrated. The student body is made up of children from various backgrounds and affiliations. Synagogue membership is not required.

Parents are kept involved and informed with a weekly email newsletter. The newsletter recaps the day’s learning and includes pictures of the day's activities. We encourage parents to get involved, ask questions and keep in touch.

Chabad Jewish Center of Gurnee is a Chabad house in Grayslake, led by Rabbi Sholom Ber Tenenbaum.
There is a synagogue on the premises. There is a Judaica shop. They kosher kitchens for the community.
Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged and public lectures are held. There is a library.
Older children and young adults have a teen club and bar and bat mitzvah instruction.
They officiate at weddings, circumcisions and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage. A chevra kadisha serves the community.
The center visits patients in hospital, looks after the elderly and provides humanitarian aid.
