Chabad of Greenwich services the Greenwich Jewish Community. We provide a Preschool, Hebrew School, Adult Education, Day Camp, Social Programs, Holiday Programs, and more
By the grace of G‑d, a few days before Rosh Hashanah in 1996, we rented a small one-bedroom apartment in Glenville. In the decade since those early days, the Jewish community of Greenwich has grown very quickly and Chabad is now a hub of energetic activity - classes, services, Preschool, Hebrew School, Camp, Clubs, discussion groups, family celebrations, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, lectures, Shabbatons... and the list goes on.
At Chabad we consider it a distinct honor and privilege to be at your service in facilitating your "Jewish journey". Open the pages and see what appeals to you; give us a call; stop in to see what's going on; ask questions; join a program... But whatever you decide to do, the most important thing is to make sure that you are involved in the Jewish community. You will find a strength and a joy that comes from participating with others and you won't regret taking that first step into the door of Jewish life. We look forward to seeing you!
Chabad Lubavitch of Greenwich - a branch of the worldwide Chabad Lubavitch movement, founded by the Rebbe, of righteous memory - is a community that welcomes people of diverse Jewish backgrounds and all ages. Our vibrant synagogue center provides educational opportunities and social services in an inclusive non-judgmental environment. The guiding principles of the Chabad movement and its thousands of centers worldwide, are “Torat Chayim" - Judaism is a fountain of eternal wisdom for meaningful living, and “Ahavat Yisrael” - unconditional love for our fellow. Every center is financially self-supporting; our funding comes from generous donors in Greenwich and remains here.
