Chabad of Rancho Bernardo was founded in 2021 by Rabbi Dr. and Mrs. Yehuda Trestman. Over the past four years Chabad RB has become a vibrant hub of Jewish life in S. Diego. We aim to create a warm and inclusive environment, where every Jew regardless of background or affiliation feels at home. From Shabbat dinners to holiday celebrations, Torah classes to community events, we strive to create meaningful experiences that connect people to their heritage and inspire spiritual growth.

Bais Betzalel Chabad of Rancho Bernardo is a local, independent and financially self-supporting entity. Every dollar that we receive comes from the generosity of people like you. We are a 501(c)(3) organization and your donations are fully tax deductible.

Rabbi Dr. Yehuda Trestman is a pulmonologist and the founder of the Chabad Rancho Bernardo-Poway Center. After earning his medical degree from NY Medical College and receiving rabbinic ordination from Machon LeHorah, Rabbi Dr Trestman recognized a need for a strong Jewish community in his area. Inspired by this, in addition his medical career he established Chabad Rancho Bernardo-Poway, building a vibrant, welcoming community by reaching out to one Jew at a time.

Devorah Trestman is a former U.S. DOD Naval engineer. Upon retiring from the Navy she began teaching at Ohel Chana High School, the Chabad girls' school in Los Angeles. With a passion for education and community building, she co-founded Chabad of Rancho Bernardo-Poway alongside her husband, Rabbi Dr. Yehuda Trestman, helping to establish a vibrant Jewish community in the area.
