
The Jewish Community Center serves the Beach cities; Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach Redondo Beach and El Segundo, California.
In 1996, The Jewish Community Center—Chabad of Beach Cities was only a dream to many local residents. But today, the 67,000-square-foot JCC is considered to be one of the nicest Jewish centers in all of Los Angeles County.
With 4 full time Rabbis and 56 employees, the JCC provides a wide range of services and programs that touch the lives of thousands.
Our children and youth programs, featuring the state-of-the-art Growing Garden Preschool & Kindergarten, our Mommy & Me, and our Community Hebrew School, have seen tremendous growth from their inception till today. This year, we’re looking forward to reaching over 2,500 children.
The Jewish Community Center’s unique approach and unconditional acceptance of people, create a dynamic and flourishing community. At the Jewish Community Center, there is no membership. Everyone belongs!

What they offer
Chabad of the Beach Cities is a Chabad house in Redondo Beach, led by Rabbi Yossi Mintz.
There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. There is a Judaica shop. They kosher kitchens for the community.
Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged, courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught and public lectures are held. There is a library.
For children there is a preschool, a Hebrew school, after-school programmes and a mother-and-child group.
Older children and young adults have a teen club, bar and bat mitzvah instruction and a bat mitzvah club.
They officiate at circumcisions and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage. A chevra kadisha serves the community.
The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, looks after the elderly, works with children with special needs and distributes food packages.
There is a women's group. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here.
