Chabad of Pasadena is dedicated to serving the Jewish community throughout Pasadena, with Ahavat Yisrael – an unconditional love and concern for every Jew, regardless of background and affliation.

Its multiple programs provide the education to promote Jewish knowledge and awareness and the means to practice and experience our Jewish heritage.

It encourages every positive action on the part of every Jew and facilitates the efforts of every organization, synagogue or group to increase Jewish study and observance.

Chabad is inspired by the vision of the Lubavitcher Rebbe and guided through his teachings. We are one of over 4,000 Chabad-Lubavitch institutions worldwide.

What they offer

Chabad of Pasadena is a Chabad house in Pasadena, led by Rabbi Chaim Hanoka.

There is a synagogue on the premises. They kosher kitchens for the community. A mikveh is available.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged, courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught and public lectures are held. There is a library.

For children there is a preschool, a children's club and a mother-and-child group.

Older children and young adults have a teen club, bar and bat mitzvah instruction, a bar mitzvah club and a bat mitzvah club.

They officiate at funerals.

The center visits patients in hospital and looks after the elderly.

There is a women's group. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here.
