The Chabad Israel Center (CIC) has been serving the Israeli-American community of Los Angeles for over 40 years. With the firm belief in the inherent beauty, spirituality & value of each individual, support and love of land. CIC has welcomed and continues to welcome people of all backgrounds and affiliations in a non-judgmental fashion, and is dedicated to meeting the social & educational and religious needs of the community. CIC offers "Judaism with a smile" and a home away from home for everyone who walks through its doors.
Under the leadership of Rabbi Amitai & Fayge Yemini and team of 35 dedicated individuals, CIC has established a clear presence in meeting the needs of Israeli-American families along with connecting the next generation to the State of Israel. The following programs support our mission:
Many Israeli families come to the USA specifically Los Angeles sometimes unaware of the sense of disenfranchisement. It is here at CIC where they find a warm environment of like-minded individuals that speak their language & understand them and can direct them. Through our many programs listed above we are building bridges between the Israel-American & Jewish American community in Los Angeles.
Chabad Israel Center was established in 1982 to serve the thousands of Israeli & Jewish Families in the greater are of Los Angeles & Downtown. Since established, CIC has grown greatly & currently engages 50,000 individuals from all age groups and backgrounds.

What they offer
Chabad Israel Center is a Chabad house in Los Angeles, led by Rabbi Amitai Yemini.
There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. They kosher kitchens for the community.
Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged and public lectures are held. There is a library.
For children there is a preschool, a Hebrew school, after-school programmes, a children's club and a mother-and-child group.
Older children and young adults have bar and bat mitzvah instruction and a bat mitzvah club.
They officiate at weddings, circumcisions and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage. A chevra kadisha serves the community.
The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners and provides humanitarian aid.
There is a women's group. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here.
