Chabad of Downtown was established in November of 2009 to meet the ever growing needs of the many people frequenting Downtown Phoenix. In 2020, the Dechter family moved to downtown to run a full-time center.
Arizona is home to 150,000 Jews, the majority of whom have felt the positive influence of the state's 38 Chabad-Lubavitch institutions. For many Jews in Arizona, Chabad-Lubavitch is the only place they can learn about their Jewish tradition.
Chabad services the Downtown area with a growing variety of classes and one on one learning for all ages.
Chabad of Downtown is dedicated to providing an open door environment for strengthening and enhancing Jewish values and identity to all people, regardless of background, color, philosophy or level of commitment.
Schedule
- Shacharit/Musaf services are held once a month on Shabbat mornings at 10:00 AM, followed by a community kiddush luncheon.
