Chabad House in Anthem, Arizona, led by Rabbi Yossi Friedman.
Rabbi Yossi and Rivky Friedman are a trained and passionate young couple who have decided to dedicate their lives to spreading good.
Rabbi Yossi, born in Los Angeles and raised in Kansas City, studied in Yeshivas in New York, Buenos Aires, and Miami. He served for a year as a Rabbi in Training at the Yeshiva Gedolah in Sydney, Australia and got his Semicha (ordination) from the Rabbinical College of America.
Rivky is a native of Phoenix, and studied in Phoenix, New York and Israel. Rivky served for three years as a teacher in various Jewish day schools in New York.
After their marriage, Rabbi Yossi continued one more year in advanced Jewish studies while getting extensive Rabbinic training. Rivky continued her teaching. In September of 2005 they opened a Chabad Center in Anthem and moved into their current facility in December of 2008.

What they offer
Chabad of Anthem is a Chabad house in Anthem, led by Rabbi Yossi Friedman.
There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. There is a Judaica shop. They kosher kitchens for the community. A mikveh is available.
Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged, courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught and public lectures are held. There is a library.
For children there is a Hebrew school and a children's club.
Older children and young adults have bar and bat mitzvah instruction, a bar mitzvah club and a bat mitzvah club.
They officiate at weddings, circumcisions and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage. A chevra kadisha serves the community.
The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, serves military personnel, looks after the elderly, works with children with special needs and provides humanitarian aid.
