The Matanuska-Susitna Valley is one of the fastest growing areas in the state of Alaska. Until now, there was no organized infrastructure to meet the needs of the Jewish population.
Located in Wasilla, the Mat-Su Jewish Center aims to build and sustain a place where every Jew is welcomed. Inspired by the vision of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, we will create a cultural center where every Jew in the valley has a place to celebrate his or her heritage together with the Jewish community.

What they offer
Mat-Su Jewish Center Chabad Lubavitch is a Chabad house in Palmer, led by Rabbi Mendy Greenberg.
There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. There is a Judaica shop.
Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged, courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught and public lectures are held.
For children there is a preschool, after-school programmes, a children's club and a mother-and-child group.
Older children and young adults have bar and bat mitzvah instruction, a bar mitzvah club and a bat mitzvah club.
They officiate at funerals.
The center looks after the elderly.
