CJL has locations in the Loop, Gold Coast, Lincoln Park and South Loop. Our work is geared to building healthier communities in an inclusive organization without regard to a person's background, affiliation or level of observance. Philosophy All Jews are "members." We strongly believe in an interactive community while maintaining the uniqueness of each individual. All are welcome.

What they offer

Chabad of the Loop and Gold Coast is a synagogue in Chicago, led by Rabbi Meir Chai Benhiyoun.

There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. Accommodation for guests can be arranged. There is a Judaica shop. They kosher kitchens for the community.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged and public lectures are held. There is a library.

For children there is a Hebrew school.

Older children and young adults have bar and bat mitzvah instruction.

They officiate at weddings, circumcisions and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage.

The center visits patients in hospital and looks after the elderly.

There is a women's group. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here.
