Jamaica is one of the most popular and beautiful islands in the Caribbean with hundreds of thousands of Jewish visitors coming each year and a few hundred Jews living on the Island.

We established the first Chabad in Jamaica with a Jewish Welcome Center to service the spiritual and physical needs of the Jewish visitors to the Island as well as the local Jewish population.

Our goal: is to strengthen Jewish awareness and pride for the Jewish residence, and the thousands of visitors to Jamaica, regardless of background or affiliation. To spread acts of goodness and kindness to all humanity!

מה יש כאן

Chabad of Jamaica — בית חב"ד ב-Montego Bay, בהנהלת Rabbi Yaakov Y. Raskin.

יש במקום בית כנסת. אורחים מתקבלים לסעודות שבת וחג. ארוחות כשרות זמינות במסגרת מנוי. יש חנות יודאיקה. מכשירים מטבחים עבור הקהילה. יש מקווה. אפשר להטביל כלים.

מתקיימים שיעורים באופן קבוע, אפשר לקבוע חברותא, נלמדים קורסים של מכון JLI ומתקיימות הרצאות לציבור. יש ספרייה.

לילדים יש תוכניות אחר הצהריים, מועדון ילדים וחוג לאמהות ופעוטות.

לנוער ולצעירים יש מועדון נוער, הכנה לבר ובת מצווה, מועדון בר מצווה, מועדון בת מצווה ומסגרת לצעירים עובדים.

עורכים כאן חתונות ולוויות. מכינים זוגות לנישואין. חברה קדישא משרתת את הקהילה.

המרכז מבקר חולים בבתי חולים, מבקר אסירים יהודים ומטפל בקשישים.

יש חוג נשים. אפשר לבדוק כאן מזוזות ותפילין. הבניין נגיש לכיסא גלגלים.
