Chabad House

Chabad House in Pembroke Pines, Florida, led by Rabbi Mordechai Andrusier.

Inspired by the Lubavitcher Rebbe's vision, he co-founded Chabad of Pembroke Pines in 2005 with his wife Tzirel. Rabbi Mordechai received his Rabbinical degree in New Jersey and attended Rabbinical seminaries in Los Angeles, Bnai Brak, Miami and Sydney.

Rebbetzin Tzirel Andrusier is originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Tzirel grew up in the small city of Concordia where her parents built a strong community and founded multiple institution of Jewish education.

She grew up in the holy work of bringing her Jewish brethren closer to our Jewish heritage. After marrying Rabbi Mordechai in January 2005, she moved to Pembroke Pines.

Tzirel attended college in Montreal. She received her B.A. in education in 2003.

What they offer

Chabad of Pembroke Pines is a Chabad house in Pembroke Pines, led by Rabbi Mordechai Andrusier.

There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. A kosher store is run here. They kosher kitchens for the community.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged, courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught and public lectures are held.

For children there is a children's club.

Older children and young adults have a teen club, bar and bat mitzvah instruction, a bar mitzvah club and a bat mitzvah club.

They officiate at weddings and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage. A chevra kadisha serves the community.

The center visits patients in hospital, looks after the elderly, distributes food packages and provides humanitarian aid.

There is a women's group. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here. The building is wheelchair accessible.
