Walking into Chabad of Altamonte Springs, the first thing you will notice is the people. There are Jews from all walks of life, from all backgrounds and affiliations. You will see smiles, hugs, and warm handshakes as people greet each other in a uniquely intimate and relaxed setting. At every event you will find families, singles, seniors, and lots of children. People come to Chabad because of the sense of community and Jewish warmth they feel here.

There is no charge to come to Chabad. Feel free to come as often as you'd like. You're already a member. We all are.

Chabad of Altamonte Springs is dedicated to helping every Jew increase their level of Jewish knowledge, enthusiasm and commitment. Renowned for its warm and inviting environment, we offer a variety of services and programs for every interest and age like beginner Shabbat services, weekly classes, women's and men’s events, weekend retreats, social and recreational functions, and special children's programming. We encourage you to participate regardless of your background, affiliation, or level of observance.

What they offer

Chabad of Altamonte Springs is a Chabad house in Altamonte Springs, led by Rabbi Mendy Bronstein.

There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. There is a Judaica shop. They kosher kitchens for the community.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged, courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught and public lectures are held. There is a library.

For children there is a preschool, a Hebrew school, after-school programmes, a children's club and a mother-and-child group.

Older children and young adults have a teen club, bar and bat mitzvah instruction, a bar mitzvah club, a bat mitzvah club and a young professionals' circle.

They officiate at weddings, circumcisions and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage. A chevra kadisha serves the community.

The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, looks after the elderly, distributes food packages and provides humanitarian aid.

There is a women's group. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here. The building is wheelchair accessible.
