Chabad Lubavitch of North Cyprus is dedicated to serving all local and visiting Jews with Ahavat Yisrael –unconditional love and concern for every Jew, regardless of background and affiliation.

We aim to help foster a deeper sense of pride and appreciation of our Jewish heritage; and to ensure the continuity of the Jewish people.

The unique programming we offer includes creative educational projects, designed to advance Jewish knowledge, awareness and practice

Most of all however, we offer Judaism with a smile and a home away from home for everyone who walks through our doors. Our work is not limited to the spiritual welfare of our brothers and sisters, Devorah and myself are ready and available 24 – 7 for anyone requiring assistance in every type of situation, from the youngsters to the elderly and everyone in-between. Chabad is committed to work together with every Jew in town to increase Jewish pride, knowledge and awareness.

What they offer

Chabad-Lubavitch of North Cyprus is a Jewish community centre in karaoglanoglu, led by Rabbi Chaim Hillel Azimov.

There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. Kosher meals are available on a meal plan. A kosher store is run here. There is a Judaica shop. They kosher kitchens for the community.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged and public lectures are held. There is a library.

For children there is a preschool, a children's club and a mother-and-child group.

Older children and young adults have a teen club, bar and bat mitzvah instruction, a bar mitzvah club and a bat mitzvah club.

They officiate at weddings, circumcisions and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage. A chevra kadisha serves the community.

The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, looks after the elderly and runs a free loan fund.
