The Chabad Student Network is an organization dedicated to providing university students with a strong connection to Judaism. CSN is located in the heart of downtown Ottawa and services the needs of Jewish students at Ottawa University, Carleton University, and Algonquin College. The Chabad house, located at 254 Friel St. in Sandy Hill, is open to students all times of the day. You can join us for a class, a program or a chat with the Rabbi.
Our mission is to reach out to every Jewish young adult and offer them a way to connect to their Jewish roots within a warm, welcoming, and stimulating environment. Our programs and services aim to challenge the mind, warm the heart, and touch the soul of each student who passes through our doors. Chabad Student Network is an incredible resource for young adults who can find answers to questions and add depth to their lives. Holiday celebrations, Shabbat dinners, community service programs, guest lectures, and Jewish studies classes are some of the programs offered through the Chabad Student Network.

What they offer
Rohr Chabad Student Network of Ottawa is a Chabad house on campus in Ottawa, led by Rabbi Chaim Boyarsky.
There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. They kosher kitchens for the community.
one-to-one study can be arranged. There is a library.
Older children and young adults have a young professionals' circle.
They officiate at weddings and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage. A chevra kadisha serves the community.
The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, serves military personnel, looks after the elderly, distributes food packages and provides humanitarian aid.
There is a women's group. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here. A mitzvah tank goes out from here.
