Chabad House in Madison, Wisconsin, led by Rabbi Yona Matusof.

Chabad Madison is dedicated to serving the Jewish community throughout Madison, Dane County, and all of South-Central Wisconsin, with Ahavat Yisrael – an unconditional love and concern for every Jew, regardless of background and affliation.

Its multiple programs provide the education to promote Jewish knowledge and awareness and the means to practice and experience our Jewish heritage.

It encourages every positive action on the part of every Jew and facilitates the efforts of every organization, synagogue or group to increase Jewish study and observance.

Chabad Madison is directed by Rabbi Yona and Faygie Matusof and Rabbi Avremel and Mushkie Matusof. Chabad at University of Wisconsin is directed by Rabbi Mendel and Henya Matusof. Young Jewish Professionals of Madison is directed by Rabbi Avremel and Mushkie Matusof.

What they offer

Chabad Madison is a Chabad house in Madison, led by Rabbi Yona Matusof.

There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. There is a Judaica shop. They kosher kitchens for the community. A mikveh is available.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged and courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught. There is a library.

For children there is a children's club and a mother-and-child group.

Older children and young adults have a teen club, bar and bat mitzvah instruction, a bar mitzvah club, a bat mitzvah club and a young professionals' circle.

They officiate at circumcisions and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage.

The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, looks after the elderly, distributes food packages and provides humanitarian aid.

There is a women's group. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here.
