Chabad Jewish Center is one of Washington State's most unorthodox Jewish Centers - a popular center for Jews of all backgrounds and affiliations who wish to learn more about their Jewish roots. Located on Newell Street in Bellingham, Chabad offers a wide variety of educational and spiritual opportunities, including Torah classes, Shabbat dinners, Shabbatons, and an array of Jewish Holiday programs. Traditional Jewish values are brought to life in a joyous, non-judgmental atmosphere.
Everyone is welcome at Chabad, regardless of one's level of religious observance. The philosophy is in keeping with the Chabad-Lubavitch approach of joy, scholarship, and unconditional acceptance and love of every Jew.
Every Jew-regardless of background or level of observance—is as Jewish as Moses and Sarah. We are pre-denominational-we are all one family. You are always at home with family .
No questions are out of bounds. All questions are good questions. The only bad question is an unasked one.
Schedule
- 10:00 AM Shacharit followed by Musaf and a Kiddush
- Kabblat Shabbat is usually at 6:15pm on Friday followed by dinner.

What they offer
Rohr Center for Jewish Life is a Chabad house in Bellingham, led by Rabbi Avremi Yarmush.
There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. They kosher kitchens for the community.
Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged, courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught and public lectures are held. There is a library.
For children there is a children's club and a mother-and-child group.
Older children and young adults have bar and bat mitzvah instruction.
They officiate at circumcisions and funerals. A chevra kadisha serves the community.
The center visits patients in hospital, looks after the elderly and distributes food packages.
There is a women's group. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here.
