Chabad of West Houston, Inc., began its programing with High Holiday Services and other educational programs, in rented space at the JCC of West Houston, in September of 2005.
Serving the Westchase, West Houston, and Katy area, Chabad of West Houston offers weekly shabbat services, adult education classes, holiday programs, teen programs, Chabad Hebrew School for Children, prayer services, chaplaincy outreach at area hospitals, state and federal prisons, senior programs, and outreach for adults and children with disabilities and special needs.
Most programs are held at the "Chabad House" located at 12645 Whittington Drive, Houston, Texas 77077. We also house the administrative offices of the Friendship Circle of Houston, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that serves the special needs population of greater Houston.
Rabbi Dovid, Mrs. Elisa Goldstein and our growing community have created a special, affirming, and inclusive environment where anyone may feel comfortable, loved, and welcome. Chabad of West Houston is truly a home for every kind of Jew, a community where one is just considered "Jewish,” without a need for labels.
