Welcome to Bais Menachem Mendel - Chabad House of Toledo. The Chabad House is the nerve center of educational, communal, and outreach activities serving the needs of the entire Jewish community, from the youngsters to the elderly, and everyone in-between. We offer Shabbat and Holiday Services, Holiday Celebrations, Adult Education, Women's Events, Preschool & Summer Camp and Programs for Children & Families in a comfortable non-judgmental environment that welcomes questions and provides answers that have relevant meaning in your life today.

The Friendship Circle extends a helping hand to families who have children with autism and other special needs and involves them in a full range of Jewish and social experiences. The Circle's unique formula introduces teenage volunteers to the children and through shared experiences both are enriched.

Every member of our community deserves to share the joys of our Jewish experience. Sharing our tradition with children who have special needs is particularly rewarding. The Friendship Circle offers a unique opportunity for teenagers to connect with these children.

What they offer

Chabad House-Lubavitch of Greater Toledo is a Chabad house in Toledo, led by Rabbi Yossi Shemtov.

There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. There is a Judaica shop. They kosher kitchens for the community. A mikveh is available.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged, courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught and public lectures are held. There is a library.

For children there is a preschool and a children's club.

Older children and young adults have a teen club, bar and bat mitzvah instruction and a bat mitzvah club.

They officiate at circumcisions and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage. A chevra kadisha serves the community.

The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, serves military personnel, looks after the elderly, works with children with special needs, distributes food packages and runs a free loan fund.

There is a women's group. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here.
