jGrads Pittsburgh

Rabbi Shua and Shoshana Hoexter have been welcoming Jewish graduate students into their home and community since 2003. Raised around this huge & exciting Shabbat table, their five children consider the students family and look forward to seeing them every week!

Shoshana, Director of JGrads Pittsburgh, is a third generation Jewish Pittsburgher who studied Jewish Philosophy at Beit Chana in Tzfat and is also a proud PITT alum: H2P!

Shua hails from the Washington, D.C. area, holding a Computer Science degree from the University of Maryland and rabbinic training from Yeshivas Tiferes Bachurim in Morristown, NJ. He balances his career in software with his role as Co-Director of JGrads Pittsburgh.
