Chabad Jewish Center is your home for everything Jewish – providing synagogue services, holiday events and Torah classes for the Jewish community in Polk County.

Hebrew School CKids Hebrew School offers a friendly and stimulating environment, where children can embrace their Jewish roots and gain a true sense of Jewish pride.

Chabad of Jewish Center of Lakeland is a Jewish Organization where everyone is welcome regardless of background or affiliation. We provide Judaism to all in a way that one can partake on whatever level he or she is comfortable to participate.

What they offer

Chabad Jewish Center is a Chabad house in Lakeland, led by Rabbi Moshe Lazaros.

There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. Accommodation for guests can be arranged. A kosher store is run here. There is a Judaica shop. They kosher kitchens for the community.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged, courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught and public lectures are held. There is a library.

For children there is after-school programmes and a mother-and-child group.

Older children and young adults have bar and bat mitzvah instruction.

They officiate at weddings, circumcisions and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage. A chevra kadisha serves the community.

The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, looks after the elderly and distributes food packages.

There is a women's group. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here.
